During the summer there are many days where the southeast or south wind is better near Alexandria than the Twin Cities area. When this happens, kiteboarders flock to Lake Miltona for its shallow water and low crowds. The best kiteboard launch is on the north end of lake at the public boat launch. Please be sure to yield to boaters so we can maintain use of this launch.
