Lake Washington is one of the best beginner locations in Minnesota for kiteboarding due to its shallow water and ample rigging area. The launch is privately owned by the Dassel Rod and Gun Club (DRAG) so you will need to buy a parking permit before hitting the water. Permits can be bought at the Dassel Liquor Store for $25/year. Please don’t skip this step as we want to maintain this relationship!
