Wildwood beach is a very small launch and only works on northwest winds. Since the launch is quite tight there is little room for error and it is only recommended for advanced riders. That being said, if you are skilled enough, this can be an amazing location if the northwest wind lines up just right. During a perfect NNW, the wind has a tendency to funnel down into this bay and create great ramps for boosting and wave riding. Please respect the property of all the homeowners near this launch, the docks are private property and shouldn’t be used.
This location is a little hard to find since it is hidden in a neighborhood. There will be a small parking lot right next to an apartment building.
Need a place to replendish your fluids or stuff your face after a perfect kiting session? We would love if you could support local businesses around the kiteboard launches we frequent. Almost all of our kiteboarding locations in Minnesota are free, so let’s give back to the communities that maintain them! Plus, the locals love seeing some weirdos show up with wind-blown hair.
